Yes, it has been awhile. I won’t bore you with the details of my long absence but suffice it to say, it consisted of 1 surgery, a successful online Christmas season AND 2 treatments. The lethargy of the last round of treatments has worn off so I’m back to dragging myself out of bed in the wee hours of the morning.

Recently, I was thinking of selling my old Nikon SLR camera on ebay. I bought it in 1982, used it for college and a few years after but for the last several years, it has been tucked away in my closet. I checked the recent selling prices on ebay and thought it would be a good time to finally sell it.

I bought a new battery for it and the darn camera came alive when I installed it. The shutter clicked away and the meters got all busy metering. So, I went out and bought a roll of film, just to try it out to make sure the lens works fine before I sell it.

Then…

I took a bunch of photos of the dogs, changing settings and playing around with it a bit. I loved the weight of the camera in my hand and the thrill of the mechanical shutter.

Needless to say, the camera isn’t listed on ebay. It is sitting on my kitchen table. Just like me, it is ready for the new year.
