After watering the plants, a storm blew in.  I love thunder storms.  When I was a child, my parents would send us through the house closing windows then gather us on the enclosed front porch (or as my mother would say, the protruding veranda) to watch the storm.  As an adult, I close the windows and sit on my back porch when storms arrive.  JeanPaul used to watch the television during storms.  Not last night.  Last night he and I watched the storm from the back porch, the front door and even the 2nd floor balcony!  JeanPaul noticed a lone bird in our bird feeder.  I tried to get closer to take a photo but the bird flew away at my approach.   This was the best photo I could get.

As the storm moved away, gorgeous clouds appeared.  Again, the photo doesn’t quite capture the beauty of the clouds.  Their beauty brought to mind my sister, Nancy.   Perhaps they were her birthday gift to me.

My Dad made this bird feeder for me several years ago – it is one of my most precious possessions.  He modeled it on the Parthenon in Athens, Greece.  It originally had a white roof but JeanPaul put shingles on to protect it.  The birds love it.
