Yesterday was the last treatment. Yippee!! Unfortunately, I’m having a reaction (hives) so I am loading up on the benadryl and trying not to do anything that takes mental acuity. Even so, I couldn’t help sharing a few of my new favorite ornaments. Since I first started selling ornaments online, Patience Brewster has been one of my very favorite designers. This rose pajama boy (or girl) is my new favorite – I’ll have many before the season is out.
Her characters tend to be gender neutral and all have big feet. Why big feet? Because she likes her other worldy characters firmly planted on the ground. Head in the sky, feet on the ground – the best of both worlds, I think.
Here’s a closer look at the details she includes. Notice the candlestick behind our fairy’s gold foil wings. Candles light the way and feature prominently in many of her designs.
No one is immune from tragedy. She lost her son to cancer so each year she designs a special ornament for him and donates a portion of the sales from the ornament to the Lymphoma & Lukemia Society. Catch of the Day is this year’s ornament. Precious, isn’t it?
